Heritage layout and some roses!

I have been wanting to scrap this page for soooo long, but just couldn't decide on what paper and materials fit best. I had picked a few papers and I called Lauren in to help me decide. She thought this paper from K&co. Urban Rhapsody was the perfect fit, and I have to agree. I used so many different products on this that it almost made me dizzy! But, hey, that is what it's all about! I just love how it turned out!!! Thanks for looking! Blessings~Cheri

Wow! This has been a busy week! I have been running like crazy with field trips, school assemblies and birthday parties. I have been a little artistically (is that a word?) challenged as of late! Anyway, I had to grab my camera one morning and snap some pictures of my climbing rose that is on the side of my garage. I got it last year and it bloomed, but I failed to get any pictures. These roses are so fragrant and sweet. I just love 'em!!!

Boo Kitty and a kitchen chair

Just a little post for now until I get a few pictures taken of the crafty things I've been throwing together. I'll have to post those after we go to the movies to see Angels and Demons and Terminator Salvation. Yes...I know...you can tell my hubby picked out these movies! But, we haven't been to the theater in a while and I, being the sweet wife that I am, let him pick this time. Especially since he watched Calendar Girls in bed with me this morning, as we were being lazy. It was a little rainy , so we started our holiday weekend off very slow. It was great!!! :)

Love this picture of the sweetest kitty baby named Boo (we named her after Monster's Inc.). She is sitting on my favorite kitchen chair that is also a step ladder. My mom picked this up for me in Austin and gave it to me a few years ago. A little rusty and worn but I love it that way!!! Hope you all have a relaxed and blessed Memorial Day weekend!!! Thanks for looking!

Aristocats glamed up!

I loved this book, but the pages were water damaged. So I tore them out and thought I could use the cover for a project. Not really sure where, but I think I saw a repurposed Dr. Seuss book somewhere. I swirled and pearled the cover and added some coordinating flowers and crystals. Then took some chip board from cereal boxes and cut them to make the pages. A mixture of Basic Gray and Love Elsie paper and die cut embelishments from Fancy Pants, MME, and K&co jazz it up. Still need to ad some more emblishments to the last few pages, but I am definately going to do this again!!! I really love using repurposed items and making something beautiful out of something my husband told me "would you just throw this away, please!??". He just doesn't get it sometimes. lol

Hope you all had a wonderfully blessed day! Thanks for looking!!!

its knarrly dudde and i love it !

I let my daughter write the title & of course she wrote it like she was posting something on her myspace. I was looking over her shoulder saying, um...that's not how you spell that. She turned and says, 'it looks cool like this, i don't care how you spell it'. And she's right, it does look cool like that and sometimes it doesn't matter how you spell it. (get over it perfectionist!!!) She continues to teach me! LOL Since she was two she was telling me how it really is! AMAZING~This motherhood thing!!!
This was a super fun project!!! I taught my dd how to decoupage and we had a blast. She really loved this paper from Love Elsie and KI so it was a perfect fit! We also used some dictionary paper, Ranger Stickles, Modge Podge, Perfect Pearls and Glossy Accents on a few of the letters to make them stand out a little more. This is her new jewelry box. Just need to ad a little something to the inside to finish it off. Good night and God bless you all!!!

Cards for my Mothers...

I know it has been a while since my last post, but I am putting posting into my routine and making time for it from now on. Thank you all for your wonderful comments!!! I really enjoy reading them and visiting all of your blogs. Here are a few cards that I have finished and mailed off to my three Moms. (real, step, and in law) :)
I recently purchased a cuttlebug on sale and LOVE it! As you can see that is what I used on the background of these cards. A little obsessed with it right now, but I'm sure that will fade some with time. lol I will be posting some other projects I have been working on either tonight or tomorrow morning. Blessings and Happy Mother's Day to all of you!
