I made this using a Basic Grey black chipboard album "Ethan's Album". I used up a bunch of my boy stuff that I don't ever use because I have a girl! :)

So it was fun and a bit challenging restraining myself from frilling up this one with lace and bling.

Of course I had to get a flower in here and there. lol But I think I accomplished the "play down" tactic by adding some green buttons and chunkier ribbon to tie on the button center.

I used an overload of My Minds Eye that I have had for a long while and got all of them through PeachyCheap: tags, rubons, and die cut titles.

This baseball cap die cut came w/the package as well.

For the tags I put some of the die cut tags back to back and a few I put patterned paper on the back. And of course I inked and distressed all of the edges of the embelishments to make it all pop.
I really like the way it turned out and hope that
my friend will enjoy it for her new baby boy! :) Thanks for stopping by to take a look!
Hugs!!

Pretty is as Pretty does!

It seems that Saturday's are the only days I have time to post lately. I really enjoy viewing all of the other wonderful blogs I subscribe to, but currently I am a little 'stuck' with my scrapping. I am starting to feel like I am hording my stash! LOL!!! I have received the April AND May Unity Kits of the Month and haven't used a single stamp yet!!! I think maybe I am just a bit intimidated due to all of the wonderfully creative girlies out there. I feel that maybe my 'stuff' just won't measure up.....stupid, I know! I have got to just dig in and do it! I know it will turn out fine, but I'm a newbe with all of the stamping and coloring thing. Card making doesn't seem as easy as scrapbooking! Do I use pencil? Or copics? How much layering is good? A little or alot? Insecurity isn't my best atribute.

So I dove into a layout that I started a couple of months ago and couldn't figure out how to finish. I really love how it turned out! I'll have to force myself to make a card and post it this weekend. Please come back to give me some feedback on what you think...and be honest. :) Any tips will certainly be appreciated! Thanks for visiting!!! Many blessings for a beautiful weekend! ~Cheri

Heritage layout and some roses!

I have been wanting to scrap this page for soooo long, but just couldn't decide on what paper and materials fit best. I had picked a few papers and I called Lauren in to help me decide. She thought this paper from K&co. Urban Rhapsody was the perfect fit, and I have to agree. I used so many different products on this that it almost made me dizzy! But, hey, that is what it's all about! I just love how it turned out!!! Thanks for looking! Blessings~Cheri

Wow! This has been a busy week! I have been running like crazy with field trips, school assemblies and birthday parties. I have been a little artistically (is that a word?) challenged as of late! Anyway, I had to grab my camera one morning and snap some pictures of my climbing rose that is on the side of my garage. I got it last year and it bloomed, but I failed to get any pictures. These roses are so fragrant and sweet. I just love 'em!!!
